Sugar Starts The Year Off Weak; Orange Juice Futures Higher

Sugar Futures were weak all day Friday.

March Sugar ended the session at 14.25, down 0.27 -- a new contract low for the March contract.

March Orange Juice was firm most of the post-holiday session and closed at 143.95, up 4.15, or nearly 3 percent.

March Cotton traded in the red most of Friday with a generally weak tone.

March Cotton ended the session at 59.60, down 0.67.

Market talk discussed weak Chinese data and a dip in export sales; exports and planting area have been supportive for prices over the last few weeks.
